Recruitment
Recruitment is a constant challenge on campus and it is constant recruitment which is the life blood of the Ontario Progressive Conservative Campus Association and the conservative grass roots in Ontario. Team Merkley will focus on assisting new campus clubs to develop and assisting current campus clubs in expanding their membership. Our goal is to:
- Aim to expand our membership in each campus club to 100 members
- Establish or re-establish campus clubs at University of Toronto – Mississauga Campus, Trent University, Nipissing University, and Algonquin College
- Establish stronger ties with disparate clubs at the University of Windsor and Brock University
- Update and distribute the OPCCA Campus Club Recruitment training manual
- Design and distribute literature for at least two issue based campaigns to be coordinated across the province in September and January – we need to be visible and cause a stir on campuses
- Work with club presidents to arrange guest speakers for recruitment events
- We will establish a club recruitment fund to cover up to $200 of club recruitment expenses per year
- Host the 2013 OPCCA AGM separate from the senior party to ensure OPCCA doesn’t become a stereotypical youth sandbox
